The story takes place four years after the catastrophic event at Isla Nublar. Biosyn, a biotechnology corporation, sends out its agents to locate Maisie Lockwood, a key figure in their plans. At the same time, Dr. Ellie Sattler, a paleobotanist, embarks on a mission to uncover the truth behind a strange occurrence involving a swarm of giant insects that have been genetically engineered. As these two stories intersect, the stakes are raised higher as the characters face unexpected challenges and try to navigate their way through the dangerous world of genetic engineering.
