During the rise of fascism in Mussolini's Italy, a young boy named Pinocchio is brought to life by a mysterious carpenter named Geppetto. As Pinocchio explores the world, he struggles to live up to his father's expectations and navigate the dangers of the fascist regime. Along the way, Pinocchio meets a cast of colorful characters, including the mischievous Fox and the treacherous Cat, who try to lead him astray. Despite the many challenges he faces, Pinocchio remains determined to become a real boy and prove himself to his father. However, as the fascist government tightens its grip on the country, Pinocchio finds himself caught in a battle for survival, both physically and morally, as he must confront the true nature of humanity and the consequences of blindly following authority.
